Garden of Ideas won an award to attend the UKTI's GREAT Festival of Creativity in Shanghai led by HRH The Duke of Cambridge. We joined a team from the REACT Creative Economy Network to develop working partnerships with China in the field of creative economy.
Over the three days in Shanghai, Garden of Ideas met with Chinese partners in an event co-hosted by the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design (SPCCD) and the British Consulate-General Science & Innovation Network (SIN). We participated in networking events, developed collaborative discussions and attended the GREAT Festival, which included panels on Creative Economy Clusters and Copyright in the Digital Age.
The UKTI’s GREAT Festival is "a dynamic celebration of creativity in business, and the start of a new dialogue between global enterprises". www.events.ukti.gov.uk/great-festival-of-creativity-shanghai/
REACT is one of four Knowledge Exchange Hubs for the Creative Economy funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to develop strategic partnerships with creative businesses and cultural organisations, strengthen and diversify their collaborative research activities, and increase the number of arts and humanities researchers actively engaged in research-based knowledge exchange.
